Configuration tip

To silently install Simplenote for all users on Windows, download the EXE installer from the official Simplenote website and run Simplenote-win-x.y.z.exe /allusers /S, replacing x.y.z with the current version number. For custom installation directories, append /D=C:CustomPath to the command, such as Simplenote-win-x.y.z.exe /allusers /S /D=C:Simplenote. Always test in a non-production environment first.

Simplenote was originally developed by Simperium in 2008 and acquired by Automattic in 2013. The premium service was discontinued and ads removed after acquisition. The official clients are open source under GPLv2 since 2016.
